A whole week of demonstrations and workshops by our talented local artists including oil painting, wet felting, ceramics and more!
For the Get Creative week 2018, the Puffin Gallery is organising a whole week of demonstration by local artists and ceramicists:
On Monday March 19, Louisa Kelly will demonstrate wet felting (10.30 to 12.30), then Tom Long will show you how to paint in oils in the afternoon (14:00 to 17:00). Robert Spotten will run a workshop on using different mark making media (charcoal, pencil, watercolour, pastels) throughout the day (this is listed as a separate event)
Malcolm Murchison will bring his wheel twice that week (20th and 22nd March - 16:00-19:00) to demonstrate how to throw a pot and avoid a wobbly.
Sasha McVeigh will build a house in paperclay on Thursday 22nd March (10:00 - 12:00)
Prof. Harry McMahon will be demonstrating the use of oils and painting the sea in all its moods on Friday 23rd March (14:00 - 17:00).
Three artists will be present on the Saturday 24th March: Ann-Marie Robinson, famous for her quirky teapots, will be demonstrating her slab building skills (10:30 - 13:00) and our textile artist Janice Gilmore will show how she makes her wonderful embroidered jewellery.
Robert Spotten will take you out and about Ballycastle to do some drawing and painting of the local area on the Saturday 24th March (event to be booked separately).
