Stendhal submission open

Stendhal Festival Now Open to Submissions

Stendhal Festival, based outside of Limavady, has opened up submissions to play at the festival this August

Stendhal Festival is calling for emerging artists to register their interest in playing at this year's instalment of the award-winning event.

Taking place at Ballymully Cottage Farm, Limavady, on August 11 and 12, the festival is now in its seventh year and is seeking to add the very best undiscovered talent to a line-up the organisers say will be their best ever.

The two-day celebration of music and arts has become known for its enchanting setting, illuminated with whimsical installations and features, as well as its family-friendly atmosphere, leading it to be named Ireland's Best Small Festival for three successive years.

Artists of all genres who are interested in taking part are urged to complete an application form online at the festival’s new-look website,

Organiser Ross Parkhill says that the submission process is one of the team’s favourite times of the year.

'We really love when submission time comes around,' he said. 'We try our best to keep on top of all the amazing new music that comes from our part of the world but the submissions always draw our attention to something brand new.

'We first heard of SOAK after she applied to play in 2012 for example, so the potential of finding something really special is there for us and it is an idea that excites us every year.'

The window for submissions is only open until Sunday, February 26, so potential applicants are asked to act fast.
