Bob Lefsetz, the world-renowned music industry commentator, has been announced as the closing keynote speaker at Belfast's Output Music conference, due to take place in the MAC on Thursday, February 16.
Author of newsletter and blog the Lefsetz Letter, Lefsetz is famous for being beholden to no one and speaking the truth, addressing the issues that are at the core of the music business: downloading, copy protection, pricing and the music itself.
His intensity engages readers from the most on-trend new bands and producers to Steven Tyler, Quincy Jones and everybody who's in the music business. Never dull, Lefsetz's insights are fuelled by his stint as an entertainment business attorney, major-domo of Sanctuary Music's American division and consultancies to major labels.
Joining him to speak at Output will be London's Night Czar, Amy Lamé, long-term PJ Harvey producer Rob Ellis, Adam Ficek from Babyshambles, Major Lazer graphic designer Ferry Gouw and a huge host of music industry names who will share opinion, expertise and offer advice to Northern Ireland's thriving music industry and artist community.
As previously reported, a free showcase featuring over 40 different bands and artists will takes place following the conference across a wide range of venues from 8pm -12 midnight. The full schedule is still to be announced.
