Belfast City Council aim to award grants to ambitious projects challenging social exclusion

Jointly funded by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland, Creative and Cultural Belfast aims to challenge social exclusion by providing everyone in Belfast with the opportunity to experience high-quality arts and heritage.

The fund currently supports four exciting, large scale projects which promise to deliver inspiring arts and heritage experiences across Belfast. See http://www.belfastcity.gov.uk/tourism-venues/culture/creativeandculturalbelfast.aspx for more details on the existing projects.

Belfast City Council are looking for more ambitious, bold and high-quality arts and heritage projects that have not been experienced in Belfast before.

Funding will be very competitive, and it’s likely that a maximum of three grants of up to £90,000 will be awarded. Projects should start in February 2015 and run for a maximum of 18 months.

Before you apply, please read the guidance notes to ensure that this is the right grant for your organisation and your project.

Once you’re satisfied that you meet the criteria, you should email an expression of interest (no more than 1,000 words) to culture@belfastcity.gov.uk. If your proposal is likely to meet the objectives of the fund, you will be emailed a copy of the application form.

The closing date for receipt of expressions of interest is 12 noon on Friday, October 3 2014.

The deadline for completed application forms is 12 noon on Friday, October 31 2014.
