Libraries NI is celebrating Creativity Month with a month-long programme of events that offer the opportunity for adults and children to engage with a range of creative activities across libraries within their network.
Two Writers in Residence with Creative Conversations
A targeted programme to promote and encourage engagement with the Television and Film Creative Industry. Two Writers in Residence will deliver a number or workshops, information talks with Q&A sessions and 1-2-1 clinics in venues around the province. The primary focus will be to give children aged 14 – 16 more information about this industry as a potential career choice but there will also be sessions open to adults who wish to find out about a more creative career path.
Workshops and Storytelling Performances
Storyteller in Residence Liz Weir and other storytellers from Tullycarnet Storytelling will deliver a series of workshops and readings.
Creative Core Activities
Regular interval activities such as Knit and Natter groups, Creative Writing Groups, Mindful Colouring Groups and Poetry Groups
Get Creative Showcases
Bringing together a variety of creative groups that meet in a library to showcase all the activities that are available in a library.
